Hey, everyone!
Summer is finally wrapping up in the northern hemisphere, and we've got a few exciting updates for our lovely supporters!
First, Sammus will be having her first month-long artist residency this September at Mercury Lounge. That means there will be a live Sammus show every Tuesday for four weeks in a row in New York City, with several talented artists opening for her! She might even be performing some tracks from her brand-new record (which she is working hard on right now), so if you can make it to NYC, get your tickets now!:

Second, most of our backers who pledged at a level to receive a classic Sammus CD, "Pieces in Space" LP, t-shirt, or USB drive and have responded to our BackerKit survey! If you have filled out the BackerKit survey and not yet received your prizes, don't worry; they're on their way to you! Fourthly, filming is going very well! As we mentioned before, Enongo is hard at work on her latest Sammus project, and we're documenting her creative process in what might be her most complex, sophisticated project yet. We will also be capturing some of her forthcoming sets to help tell this fascinating story, so you might even make a cameo in our film!
Or course, moviemaking is expensive, and we're still trying to raise as much money as we can to make this the best movie we can. Every dollar counts, and we still need enough to keep this production afloat and pay for all filming expenses, travel, post-production work, paying our talented crew the wages they deserve, and more. Hey, everyone!
Thank you for your patience. The past three weeks have been ridiculously busy (in a lot of good ways, thankfully!). But we wanted to make sure everything was in top shape to give you some exciting news!
First, some of you who donated at pledge levels for Sammus and Enongo-related merch and rewards will be receiving surveys in mere moments! These surveys will make sure that we have all of your information correct to ship your merch, have your name spelled correctly for when it's up in lights in the end credits of our documentary, and to make sure you get the CDs, t-shirt designs and sizes, and other prize variations correctly. After those first few backers answer their surveys, surveys will be sent out to everyone else who generously donated for rewards during our Indiegogo campaign. This surveys will be coming from BackerKit. "What's BackerKit," you ask? That brings us to our next update...
Second, we are now live on BackerKit! Our BackerKit pre-order store will function almost exactly like the Indiegogo campaign. Supporters can donate at various levels for the same combinations of prizes. The only major difference is that there's no deadline to donate. This means that anyone who wants to support this project but missed the Indiegogo campaign still can donate AND can get the same prizes, from their name in the credits to limited edition t-shirts to signed Sammus CDs and more!

YOU DID IT!!!
373 amazingly generous people of all walks of life from all over the world on five continents donated a total of $31,775 USD to Enongo on Indiegogo! Some of this has to be subtracted for Indiegogo fees and such, but this is still a major accomplishment. We now have a substantial amount of money to keep this film alive and running.
Thank you for your incredible support, everyone. This would not have been possible without your help. Within the next couple of weeks, we'll be sending out surveys so you can get your well-deserved Sammus merch and other rewards, as well as more information on fundraising options will be announced in the near future. Our filming in Brooklyn last night was fantastic! Sammus covered some of her best hits, some excellent, less performed songs, and the audience was loving it. Thank you to all who attended!
We have JUST A FEW HOURS LEFT to raise as much as we can on Indiegogo!! Indiegogo takes a big chunk of what we make in terms of hosting and processing fees, so while we have officially reached our minimum goal of $30,000, we technically come a few thousand short.
